Yesterday and today, the XXVII General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) took place in Cascais, Portugal, where key topics for the development of the Olympic Movement at a global level were discussed.
Representing our region, Mr. Camilo Pérez López Moreira, our president in his role as a member of the ANOC Executive Committee, was present as part of the Organization's leadership. His participation reaffirms our National Olympic Committees' commitment to the values and principles of the Olympic Movement, strengthening ODESUR's role on the global stage.
Additionally, the assembly was attended by 12 of the 15 National Olympic Committees that are members of ODESUR. This significant representation reaffirms our countries' commitment to working together towards promoting sports in the region and implementing policies that reflect the principles of inclusion, sustainability, and comprehensive development.
For the ODESUR member NOCs, this Assembly was an opportunity to exchange ideas, learn from international experiences, and explore collaboration opportunities in the sports field. We are confident that this participation will strengthen the positioning of our National Olympic Committees in the region and the world.
We remain committed to sports and to developing a stronger and more united Olympic community.
