LA COMISION DE ATLETAS DE ODESUR PRESENTE EN LA III EDICIÓN DEL FORO CONTINENTAL DE ATLETAS DE PANAM SPORTS

Entre el 21 y el 23 de noviembre de 2024, se llevó a cabo con éxito la III Edición del Foro Continental de Atletas de Panam Sports en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana. Este evento reunió a atletas, líderes deportivos y expertos de toda América para debatir sobre temas relevantes para el desarrollo y bienestar de los deportistas.

Un hito importante de esta edición fue la participación por primera vez de la Comisión de Atletas de la ODESUR. La delegación estuvo encabezada por Inés Remersaro (Presidenta), junto a Milka Kraljev y Benjamin Hockin (miembros de la comisión), quienes contribuyeron con valiosas perspectivas durante las discusiones.

A lo largo del foro, se trataron diversos temas clave, entre los que se incluyeron Solidaridad Olímpica, Inteligencia Artificial, Transición de Carrera, Marketing Personal, Sostenibilidad y Salud Mental. También se discutieron aspectos relacionados con el patrocinio de atletas, la seguridad en el deporte y el papel de organismos como la WADA en la lucha contra el dopaje.

El evento concluyó con actividades deportivas en la playa, en un ambiente relajado y colaborativo, que permitió a los participantes fortalecer sus lazos y disfrutar de la práctica deportiva en un entorno informal.

Este foro reafirma su importancia como espacio de intercambio para los atletas de la región, abordando sus desafíos y necesidades, y contribuyendo al fortalecimiento del deporte en América.

THE ODESUR ATHLETES COMMISSION PRESENT AT THE III EDITION OF THE PANAM SPORTS CONTINENTAL ATHLETES FORUM

From November 21 to 23, 2024, the III Edition of the Panam Sports Continental Athletes Forum was successfully held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. This event brought together athletes, sports leaders, and experts from across the Americas to discuss key issues affecting the development and well-being of athletes.

A significant milestone of this edition was the first-ever participation of the ODESUR Athletes Commission. The delegation was led by Inés Remersaro (President), along with Milka Kraljev and Benjamin Hockin (members of the commission), who contributed valuable insights during the discussions.

Over the course of the forum, various key topics were addressed, including Olympic Solidarity, Artificial Intelligence, Career Transition, Personal Branding, Sustainability, and Mental Health. Additionally, discussions covered aspects such as athlete sponsorship, sport safety, and the role of organizations like WADA in the fight against doping.
