THE ODESUR ATHLETES COMMISSION PRESENT AT THE III EDITION OF THE PANAM SPORTS CONTINENTAL ATHLETES FORUM
From November 21 to 23, 2024, the III Edition of the Panam Sports Continental Athletes Forum was successfully held in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. This event brought together athletes, sports leaders, and experts from across the Americas to discuss key issues affecting the development and well-being of athletes.
A significant milestone of this edition was the first-ever participation of the ODESUR Athletes Commission. The delegation was led by Inés Remersaro (President), along with Milka Kraljev and Benjamin Hockin (members of the commission), who contributed valuable insights during the discussions.
Over the course of the forum, various key topics were addressed, including Olympic Solidarity, Artificial Intelligence, Career Transition, Personal Branding, Sustainability, and Mental Health. Additionally, discussions covered aspects such as athlete sponsorship, sport safety, and the role of organizations like WADA in the fight against doping.
The event concluded with beach sports activities in a relaxed and collaborative setting, allowing participants to strengthen their connections and enjoy sports in an informal environment.
This forum continues to be an important space for exchange among athletes in the region, addressing their challenges and needs, while contributing to the strengthening of sports in the Americas.
