Panama City, February 19, 2025 – The Evaluation Commission of the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR) conducted an official visit to Panama City today, a candidate to host the 2026 South American Youth Games.
The visit began with the inspection of the proposed sports venues in the candidacy, including the Irving Saladino Sports City, which features the Emilio Royo Stadium, the Roberto Durán Arena, the Romeo Fernández Stadium, the Combat Center, the Archery Center, and the Eileen Coparropa Swimming Pool.
The commission also visited the High-Performance Center (CAR), the Santa María Golf Club, and the Tierra de Campeones Antheyna Bylon.
After the visit, the delegation moved to the headquarters of the Panama Olympic Committee, where the candidate city presented the key aspects of the candidacy dossier submitted to ODESUR. The presentation was led by Damaris Young, president of the Panama Olympic Committee; Miguel Ordóñez, director of Pandeportes; and Anamae Orillac, secretary general of the Panama Olympic Committee. Authorities from the Panama Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of Security also participated and expressed their support for the candidacy.
