REUNIÓN DEL COMITÉ EJECUTIVO DE ODESUR EN PANAMÁ

Panamá, 19 de Febrero de 2025 – En la sede del Comité Olímpico de Panamá, el Comité Ejecutivo de la Organización Deportiva Suramericana (ODESUR) llevó a cabo hoy su reunión de trabajo en horario de 15:00 a 19:00 horas.

La reunión contó con la participación presencial del presidente de ODESUR, Camilo Pérez López Moreira (PAR), junto a los Vicepresidentes Primero y Segundo, Mario Moccia (ARG) y Paulo Wanderley (BRA), el Tesorero Marco Arze (BOL), la vocal I Damaris Young (PAN) y la Presidenta de la Comisión de Atletas, Inés Remersaro (URU). De manera virtual, estuvieron presentes el Secretario General Miguel Ángel Mujica (CHI) y el vocal III José Luis Echeverry (COL).

Durante la sesión se abordaron temas claves para el desarrollo del deporte suramericano, entre ellos:

• Informes de las comisiones: Se presentaron avances de las Comisiones Técnica, de Atletas, de Equidad, Mujer y Deporte Seguro, y de Sostenibilidad.

• Candidaturas para futuros Juegos Suramericanos:Se realizó la presentación de Panamá como ciudad candidata para albergar los Juegos Suramericanos de la Juventud 2026, acompañada del informe de la Comisión de Evaluación.

• Juegos Suramericanos Santa Fe 2026: Se revisaron los avances del comité organizador de los próximos Juegos Suramericanos.

• Juegos Suramericanos de Playa 2027: Presentación de la ciudad de Mar del Plata, interesada en los Juegos Suramericanos de Playa 2027

La ODESUR continúa trabajando en el fortalecimiento del deporte en la región, impulsando la excelencia organizativa y promoviendo el desarrollo de nuevas sedes para los Juegos Suramericanos.

ODESUR EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEETING IN PANAMA

Panama, February 19, 2025 – At the headquarters of the Panama Olympic Committee, the Executive Committee of the South American Sports Organization (ODESUR) held its working meeting today from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

The meeting was attended in person by the President of ODESUR, Camilo Pérez López Moreira (PAR), along with the First and Second Vice Presidents, Mario Moccia (ARG) and Paulo Wanderley (BRA), the Treasurer Marco Arze (BOL), Vocal I Damaris Young (PAN), and the president of the Athletes Commission, Inés Remersaro (URU). Virtually, the Secretary General Miguel Ángel Mujica (CHI) and Vocal III José Luis Echeverry (COL) participated.

During the session, key topics for the development of South American sports were discussed, including:

Commission Reports: Progress was presented by the Technical, Athletes, Equity, Women and Safe Sports, and Sustainability Commissions.

Candidacies for Future South American Games: Panama was presented as a candidate city to host the 2026 South American Youth Games, along with the report from the Evaluation Commission.

Santa Fe 2026 South American Games: Progress made by the organizing committee for the upcoming South American Games was reviewed.

2027 South American Beach Games: Presentation of the City of Mar del Plata, Interested in Hosting the 2027 South American Beach Games

ODESUR continues to work on strengthening sports in the region, promoting organizational excellence, and fostering the development of new host cities for the South American Games.
